Cri/oFlex, from Delft Circuits, is a flexible, planar, multi-channel cabling platform for routing RF and microwave signals from room temperature down to the coldest stages of a cryostat. It maintains high performance at millikelvin temperatures while keeping the heat load on the cryostat low. It available in silver (Ag) and superconducting niobium-titanium (NbTi) platforms — the latter halving microwave loss and cutting heat load by roughly a factor of ten. Because the filtering elements — attenuators, low-pass filters and infrared filters — are integrated into the flex itself rather than bolted on as discrete components, the number of mechanical interfaces decreases, and with it the number of potential failure points.
For non-line-of-sight ports, Delft Circuits offers two compact, self-installable cabling kits: KF25 and KF40. KF25 carries 8 or 16 channels; KF40 scales from 8 to 32 channels on SMA and SMP connectors, or 32 to 64 using high-density HD SMP. Every flex carries eight channels, and HD SMP is available on KF40 only.
